Key Officials of SBAC Nonthaburi and OVEC welcome the APACC Team
The fourth Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) on-site visit in Thailand was held on March 22 – 24, 2018 at the Siam Business Administration Nonthaburi Technological College (SBAC Nonthaburi) in Amphur Muang, Nonthaburi, Thailand. The APACC team composed of Dr. Romulita Alto, APACC Team Leader and Research Consultant of the Technological Institute of the Philippines, spearheaded the onsite visit while Dr. Godelyn Hisole, President of Iloilo State College of Fisheries, Philippines acted as Team Member and Ms. Felice Jeanine Marquez acted as APACC Support Staff Member.
In attendance during the opening program were the Governor of Nonthaburi Panu Yamsri, faculty members and students of SBAC Nonthaburi and key officials. The opening program was also attended by APACC Special Officer, Dr. Paiboon Saiyawongs and Dr. Pongsatorn Pimpanit, Head of the Bureau of Vocational Education Standards and Qualification, Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), to express their support in the APACC accreditation.

During the welcome remarks of Dr. Prasarn Prawatrungruang, Director of SBAC Nonthaburi stated that SBAC Nonthaburi is eager to undergo the APACC accreditation process to maintain and to continuously provide quality education to the students. As a response, the APACC Team Member Dr. Godelyn Hisole, commended the readiness of SBAC Nonthaburi to undergo the APACC accreditation process and she was hopeful that APACC accreditation could pave the way for more opportunities to SBAC Nonthaburi students aspiring to have training in other parts of Asia. In the Special Remarks of Dr. Romulita Alto, she emphasized that the journey towards quality technical and vocational education and training (TVET) begins with APACC and she was eager to see successful and internationally skilled students of SBAC Nonthaburi in the future.
SBAC Nonthaburi is a private institution established on May 1, 2007. It offers two (2) levels of education – Advanced Diploma and Diploma both offered in Thai and English. Programs offered in SBAC Nonthaburi are the following: Business Computer, Foreign Language, Computer Graphics, Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Tourism and Hotel Management.
Results of the visit will be discussed by the APACC Board and will be announced accordingly.
