SECONDED FACULTY CONSULTANTS
The Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education (CPSC) seeks to recruit Seconded Faculty Consultants, through member government nomination, for an initial period of one year, may be extended annually until terminated by CPSC and/or withdrawn by the seconding government, subject to satisfactory performance evaluation by the Staff College and upon mutual consent of the Seconded Faculty and the seconding government.
Candidates must have at least ten (10) years of experience in related areas in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), serving a faculty position in Universities, Technical and Engineering Colleges, Technical Teachers Colleges, Polytechnics and other training institutions of excellence; experienced in developing and implementing capacity building training programs on any of the following TVET areas: Curriculum Development, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Master Teachers Training, Research and Development, Qualifications Framework, Education for Sustainable Development, Emerging Technology, Institutional Administration and Management, and skills training for the informal sector and the disadvantaged.
The applicant/nominee must have a doctorate degree in technical/technology education, engineering or in any related field of study, must be fluent in oral and written English, and with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
He/she must be able to design, develop and implement regional, in-country, and customized training programs and conduct research and other related capacity building projects and activities as may be assigned.
Compensations, such as salaries and/or allowances and other related benefits, leave arrangements, etc., are arranged between the concerned agencies/ministries or institution of the seconding government and the seconded faculty himself. Other details of the appointment are provided in the Terms and Conditions of Service of Seconded Faculty Consultants as attached.
