CPSC welcomed the visit of the Embassy of Sri Lanka’s Charge d’ Affaires Mrs. Herath Mudiyansela Gedera Reethisri Rakthiya Kumari Wijeratne Mendis on September 24, 2013. Mrs. Mendis met the CPSC Director General Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub to be acquainted with the programs and activities of CPSC, having been recently appointed as Deputy Chief of Mission and Charge d’ Affaires at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Manila, Philippines.

The discussion focused on the programs that CPSC is conducting particularly programs related to sustainable development and technologies connected to it. Mrs. Mendis took interest in the Professional Internship Program for International Experience (PIPIE) and faculty position vacancies in CPSC. She also took the opportunity to invite interested parties, through CPSC, to the Exposition on Trade, Tourism and Investment parallel to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on November 13 – 17, 2013.
