The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) GB convened its 94th session on February 7, 2013 at the CPSC Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The Board took up seven agenda which included Actions Taken since Last GB Meeting, Mid - Year Report for July to December 2012, Report of the Provident Fund Management Committee on Merging of Peso and Dollar Provident Funds, and Report of External Audit of CPSC’s Financial Statements for Fiscal Year 2011 – 2012.

The soft launching of CPSC’s First Journal titled STEPS (Scholarly Technical Education Publication Series) was held just before the meeting. CPSC prepared a video presentation which contains the author, title, and description of the articles inside. The editorial board is in the process of reviewing the journal; expected publication is by July 2013.

The meeting was presided by H.E. Mohsin Razi, Chairman of the CPSC GB and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and co-chaired by H.E. Chris Vihruri, Ambassador of Papua New Guinea. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador for Bangladesh, Ambassador for India, Ambassador for Singapore, Director-General of CPSC, and Representatives of Ambassadors for Thailand and Myanmar. The Philippines, as host country, was represented by TESDA and DFA - UNIO.

Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub, CPSC Director General reported the progress made by CPSC for the period July 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 where he emphasized the conduct of Regional Programs, In-Country Programs, Customized Programs, Skills Development for Poverty Alleviation Special In Country Programs and Regional Consultation Workshop, National/International Seminars, Internship Program, and Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) Accreditation Activities.

He also provided an overview of the operational achievements of CPSC and highlighted the various academic and administrative impacts of CPSC's programs at the country, regional and global levels. Areas covered by the report were governance and management, membership management and cooperation, training and development, research, publications and information dissemination, projects and consultancy development, ICT and multimedia development, building and facilities improvement and CPSC's financial report.

The Board took note of the key developments in CPSC and expressed support to agenda items raised. The 95th GB Meeting will be held on June 27, 2013.
